Historic Document Exhibit - September 4
In conjunction with First Thursday events in Windsor, 375 years of Records will be on display at Windsor Town Hall, 275 Broad Street from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on September 4th. If it weren't for the records there would be not towns in Connecticut to celebrate ANNIVERSARIES and it is the families that make the make the records and the Town Clerks who take care of them. In Windsor that means the Town Clerk is responsible for land records dating from 1640 and Vital Statistics from 1639 to the current day, as well as various other town records such as Grand lists, Tax lists, Patriots list, Animal Markings, and Ordinances etc. Come and see the records and honor the clerks from Windsor's daughter towns at the reception. This historic document exhibition will remain on display at Town Hall until September 26, M F 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Free. 285-1902.
