Thursday, May 15 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
EXHIBITION OPENING: Windsor, Then and Now - A Photo History, 1890-2008. Discover what has changed and what has remained the same all over Windsor. See views of Deerfield, Hayden Station, Poquonock, Rainbow, and Wilson as well as Windsor center. Exhibition runs through August 30. COST: Free for this event.

Tuesday, June 3 7 - 9 p.m.
VISIONS OF WINDSOR PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST: The Society invites local photographers to show up to ten minutes of work in PowerPoint format. Audience members will vote for winners. COST: $6/adults; $5/seniors and students; $4/WHS members.

Saturday, June 14 1 - 4 p.m.
BUS TOUR: Tour Windsor's historic sites with Windsor historian Beverly Garvan. Explore Windsor's highways and byways from the old Poquonock factory sites to Loomis Chaffee School and pick up some hidden clues to the Windsor: Then and Now scavenger hunt. Board the bus at the Society. COST: $12/adults; $11/seniors and students; $10/WHS members.

Saturday, July 12 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
FOUR CENTURIES GARDEN TOUR: Eight talented Windsor gardeners will open a potpourri of different types of gardens to the public. Co-sponsored by Windsor Historical Society and the Windsor Garden Club. COST: advance tickets, $10; day-of-tour tickets, $15; Society and Windsor Garden Club members, $10.

August 11-15 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
VISIONS OF WINDSOR SUMMER CAMP: Students grades 3-6 will discover Windsor's special places on bus tours through town and work with Windsor photographers, artists, and quilters to create their own exhibit of Windsor views, make memory boxes, and a memory quilt. Bring a lunch and snacks are provided. COST: $25/student per day. Reservations required by calling 860/688-3813 by August 8.

September 3, 10, 17, and 24 7 - 9 p.m.
LECTURE: Making Family Memories and Exploring Family History series. Edward Strickland of the Descendants of the Founders of Ancient Windsor (DFAW) and Judith Johnson, genealogist at the Connecticut Historical Society, will show us how artifacts and the census, birth, marriage, and death records can help us build our family trees. Internet resources and software programs will be covered. COST: $50/series or $15 per session. Reservations required by September 2 by calling 860/688-3813.

Friday, September 12 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
EXHIBITION OPENING: The Faces of Windsor - 1850 to the Present. Exhibition features likenesses of Windsor people in media like oil and watercolor portraits, silhouettes, daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, and photographs. Exhibition ends December 31. COST: Free for this event.
